Republicans Dominate Primaries!
GOP Candidates Whatley, Cotton, and Huckabee Sanders Victories Highlight Big GOP Night
Standing behind a $20,000 lectern wearing a dress made from $12 curtains, Sarah Huckabee Sanders vowed vowed to continue her conservative agenda in Arkansas and win reelection in November, framing the race as a fight to keep the state on its current path. Sanders is obviously the best person to keep South Carolina on that path which leads to a meth house, but the good kind.
Huckabee Sanders was just one of many Republican candidates having a great last night. Despite some people naively claiming that the midterms are heading for a blue wave, Republicans shocked everybody last night by dominating primaries in Texas, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
In Texas in fact, GOP observers couldn’t believe their luck in voting in not one but two candidates leaving President Trump the difficult job of deciding whether James Cornyn or has to drop out of the race. The Democrats couldn’t even elect one candidate as James Talarico won only because Jasmine Crockett conceded before all the votes could be counted. By my count, that means we won Texas last night 2-0.
In North Carolina, Michael Whatley was dynamic. He beat Donald Brown by 50 points, which leaves him only one more election win from the Senate. What Roy Cooper needs to realize is that David Whatley is a fighter and he won’t give up easily. He’s the kind of guy that North Carolina voters will rally behind.
In a speech last night, Ray Whatley pledged “We need better. We need to back the blue. We need policies that are going to put more cops on the street, that are going to pay them better, and we need policies that are going to put dangerous criminals behind bars, not back on our streets.”
This was a great night for Republicans last night. Whether it’s Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Jonathan Whatley, John Cornyn, or Ken Paxton, our candidates won huge last night and that bodes very well for November.

Republicans do so well in their primaries because they're such happy, positive upbeat people who aren't constantly trying to change things for the better. You're right; you'll never hear Sarah Huckabee Sanders demanding to tear down Pawpaw's meth lab or shut down Memaw's perpetual yard sale/distribution point. She knows that kind of family business entrepreneurship means healthy, active seniors. We need more of that encouragement.
